Test for Water Separation Characteristics of Diesel Fuels

After years of research, we have completed the modification of ASTM Standard D7261 to test water separation characteristics of both ULSD neat and B1-B20 blends. It has taken thousands of tests and the creation of a new coalescer cell (DB) for use in the Micro-Separometer in order to accurately test the wide range of diesel fuels in use today.

We have developed a new test method for the determination of the estimated suitability of B100 (bio diesel) as a blend stock with petroleum diesel ULSD.
Existing tests to predict the adequate performance of the resulting bio diesel blends offer poor accuracy and are time consuming. Our new test offers superior accuracy and only takes about 15 minutes. It
