We recently welcomed "Bob" to our engineering team. "Bob" has worked tirelessly, nights, weekends, and holidays for his base pay and hasn't taken a sick day since he started. He does consume a lot of strange material (plastics, metalized thread, rubber, etc.) and extrudes it through his nozzle but it doesn't seem to bother him.
Of course, I am talked about "Bob" the 3D printer. "Bob" is producing prototype components daily that would take us months to produce traditionally. The spec.tolerances aren't perfect but are good enough for prototyping and we are still learning. The 3D printing industry is new and doesn't offer much in the way of training yet.
We would love to hear 3D experiences from others .
